About

Who We Are

The mission of Atlas is to become advocates for people facing life’s situational needs: relational, physical, emotional, financial, and/or spiritual. We strive to serve with unconditional love in all relationships. The goal of each on-going client relationship is honest self-assessment of their situation, renewed hope for their future, and holistic growth and betterment in their lives. Spiritual elements of lasting success in this process include prayer, gently sharing the Gospel of Christ through actions and words, and encouraging participation in the local church.

Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.

— Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 NLT

David Lyons

Executive Director

David Lyons is a graduate of FIRE School of Ministry and served as an overseas missionary, first in Holland for 4 1/2 years, then after marrying, in Peru for 6 years.

David moved back to the States with his family in 2017 to serve as Executive Director of ATLAS. He understands that in a country that seemingly has it all on the outside, many people are hurting, struggling, and lost here just as much as people abroad. David counts it a privilege to have the opportunity to touch the lives of those who would probably never step into a church.

"Life is an adventure! As with all adventures, things often happen that can take us by surprise. Some things can even change or seemingly destroy our plans. Sometimes, no matter how strong we think we are or should be, we need help. Help to sort through the "stuff", make a plan, and move forward. I believe ATLAS can be that help and I am thankful to be a part of this team."
