From Male Mentor Kurt

David Lyons

This summer our area experienced unbelievable devastation with the floods that hit NW Iowa. As a result we saw foundations of homes and businesses wiped out and washed away, and we saw the importance of having a good and firm foundation.

Mattew 7 says

"24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

How is your spiritual foundation? A great way to know is how we respond when the enemy sends floods or challenges and trouble in our lives. Is your foundation firm in Jesus Christ so you can withstand the floods of life that come your way? Check your foundation and make sure Jesus is your firm foundation in EVERYTHING that you do.
